I reiterate my call for the Pope to stand down.
The Pope was drawn directly into the Roman Catholic sex abuse scandal last night as news emerged of his part in a decision to send a paedophile priest for therapy. The cleric went on to reoffend and was convicted of child abuse but continues to work as a priest in Upper Bavaria.
Unbelievable as that may sound it’s true, this will have a catastrophic impact on Catholics around the World, I would hope that the Pope will immediately step down, the spiritual leader of the World’s 1.3 billion Catholic’s, Gods representative if you will, cannot and must not be allowed to remain in his position.
The accused priest was sent from Essen to Munich for therapy in 1980 when he was accused of forcing an 11-year-old boy to perform oral sex. The archdiocese confirmed that the Pope, who was then a cardinal, had approved a decision to accommodate the priest in a rectory while the therapy took place.
I know we are taught by the Bible to be forgiving and to offer a second chance, but this is ridiculous.
A number of years ago in this Country a judge gave a serial child abuser yet another chance, after he appeared before him for the fourth time, some observers called for the judge to be investigated because of his over lenient stance on child abuse, the Judge was free to continue, but a couple of years along the road he was forced to resign when children’s images were found on his computer, not outright porn but not his children and disturbing enough to cause him to resign. I wont name this Judge because there was no conviction.
The Pope must step down.
The stories about Tigers private life just keep coming and coming, and they are sounding worse and worse, the latest woman to come forward is a hard core porn star. Holly Sampson is the “star” of some pretty hardcore material including Bondage movies.
Friends close to the couple say Tigers wife has packed her stuff and moved out, and who can blame her it must be humiliating beyond belief for her as each new allegation is aired, if it wasn’t enough that he has been cheating , but to find out while she was pregnant as well through two pregnancies.
Over the years Woods has cultivated this image of a focused individual with tremendous mental strength but sadly that may not be enough, a proud man like Woods being exposed like this will take it badly, from being held in almost reverence by adoring fans to suddenly become the butt of every ones jokes.
He is currently the number one article googled on the net, most of them jokes.
In America the late night talk show hosts like Letterman and Jay Leno are ripping Tiger into shreds.
And that’s where I see the problem, whenever and wherever Tiger plays from now on some sections of the crowd will shout abuse at him he will be ridiculed, even if its just one or two people shouting comments it will always bring to everybody’s mind what Tiger had been up to.
Tigers sponsors have so far stayed quiet but expect contacts to be cancelled and soon, there will be clauses in the contracts referring to of field behaviour I believe they are called “morality Clause’s”. I am sure Tiger is in breach of those.
With £600 million pounds in the bank Tiger does not need to put himself through that. I personally don’t believe he will compete again, I hope I am wrong a talent like his comes around once in a lifetime.
A man who fathered two children by his daughter after three decades of horrendous abuse has been jailed for 12 years.
When you deduct a third of his sentence as is the norm with prison sentences then allow for him to apply for parole after serving half he could be out in as little a 4 years, no wonder these types of crimes happen so often when the perpetrators know there is no real punishment.
How could a Judge justify such a paltry sentence for so terrible a crime, apart from the obvious psychological damage to his daughter what about the two children involved that’s 3 lives ruined, add on then the peripheral emotional damage to the rest of the family wife, other siblings close relatives etc, and this monster has destroyed countless lives.
The sick animal in this case is a 68 year old Essex man who conceivably will be free to resume his life in a few years while the victims serve a life sentence.
So I pose the question how can he be free after only a possible 4 years, obviously Judges do not live in the real world as you and I do. Something need to be done as this kind of travesty is becoming all to common. Judges need to be more accountable to society.
Maybe its time there was some kind of a league table for Judge’s who are then judged by their peers on a case by case basis and awarded points for performance, and then much like our football leagues the worst three demoted from crown court case’s and a new three brought up. I know that my suggestion has a certain flippancy about it but I am serious about the need to make them more accountable, and who knows flippant or not maybe my idea with some tweaking has some merit.
But what I do know is that something must be done and soon, how many more times can the system return sentences like this without bringing itself into disrepute.
I cant find words to write about those three animals guilty of sexual abuse against the most vulnerable of victims, toddlers entrusted into their care.
I hope, no like any right minded person demand they each get life with a minimum of at least 20 years, short of killing these poor kids their crime could not have been worse.

The family accused of tormenting Fiona Pilkington and her disabled children have received death threats, it was claimed yesterday, as police patrols were stepped up near their home.
Police officers drove past the Simmons family home at least 11 times and made a 30-minute visit to their home to reassure them they were safe.
Its a pity the Police did not show that kind of support to the Pilkington’s, maybe then Mrs Pilkington and her severely disabled daughter Francesca would still be alive, instead of setting themselves alight in a car. Mrs Pilkington was driven to this extreme action by the negligence of the police in not dealing with this “family” though pack of animals would be a better description.
33 calls were made to police in a little under 2 years they only responded to eight of them and even then sometimes a couple of days after receiving the call for help. The family which also has a disabled 17 year old in it were spat on abused and insulted daily for a number of years,
Now that threats have been made against the scum who put them through this I hope they suffer the same sort of abuse and physical intimidation as the Pilkington’s. Who knows we may get lucky and they may kill themselves.
An Australian man has been charged with incest after he allegedly raped his daughter almost daily and fathered her four children over a 30-year period.
The man, who has been dubbed “Australia’s Fritzl” after the notorious Austrian incest case, allegedly began raping his daughter in the 1970s when she was just 11 years old, and had threatened her with violence if she ever revealed the abuse.The four children in this case were all born with major defects.
I saw this story in one of our broadsheets and mention it only because it was tucked away on page nine, Shouldn’t this be front page, are we so de-sensitized to these types of crime that it warrants a page nine, personally as a normal minded parent I am horrified by this story, and would imagine that a great majority of our population would be so to, so how is it on page nine when the front page lead story is about Oil traders dumping waste in the Ocean.
Sadly this says more about our society than it does about the Newspaper in question.
Roll on August 15th, this date is significant because it’s the day the new football season kicks of (excuse the pun). it has only been a number of weeks since the old season finished but it feels like years. And its not just the football that I crave, I also miss the banter that goes along with it, good natured teasing and abuse amongst friends and family is as much a part of the season as the football itself. Facebook traffic must be down at least 50%, and phone company profits dramatically reduced, as texting is almost non existent in the close season amongst my peers. I have enjoyed the Twenty20 cricket tremendously, but did not receive a single text commenting on it for the duration of the competition, contrast to a football match involving my team The mighty Manchester Utd when I could easily recieve 20/30 texts through a match, rising to 50 if we lost. Still seven weeks to go, how will I survive.
Susan Boyle is going to guest star on the X factor, big whoopee, Isn’t Simon Cowell rich enough without trying to milk a few more pounds out of this woman, it’s clear to anyone that this woman has mental problem’s how severe I don’t know, but she is at best emotionally fragile, and worst not to get to technical, bonkers. it is reported she has learning difficulty’s, we have already seen evidence of her quick temper, which is a symptom of people who have learning difficulty’s, her bizarre response when the result was announced on Britain's got talent where she finished runner up after being widely tipped to win, was particularly weird, she leaves phone messages for her cat, and sadly believes the cat answer’s her. Her treatment at the hand of Cowells company is not far short of abuse, this woman may sell CD’s because of her novelty factor, not because she is a great singer/performer etc, if she had been she would have been discovered long before ,
