North Korea may launch new missiles

With the unstable Kim jong II in threatening mood I hope at last we get some decisive action, South Korean sources have for a while been reporting on Jongs ill health, is this madman planning to go out with a bang?. for far to long the U S has been singing the sanctions song without all members of the permananent security council singing from the same hymn sheet, Notably Russia and China,but the time is now before the Rogue state are able to deliver missiles onto Obamas doorstep, Robert Gates was quoted today as saying North Korea would not be accepted as  a nuclear power, so Mr president what are you going to do? enough rhetoric,recent history has shown appeasement and kowtowing does not work, Hitler and Saddam come to mind. As time moves on it will get harder and harder to bring them to heel without the casualty numbers growing, analysts believe the Korean army would within days be rendered impotent in the face of an all out attack, the so called million man army is poorly equipped and  poorly trained, and could not withstand a full on U S and allied assault. I believe we are moving towards action and would expect the West to have made a move by the end of this year.

Pakistan "Swat" the Taliban

At last the Pakistani people have woken up to the fact they need to fight for their own country,with a series of marches against the Taliban planned in the coming days and weeks, after watching their country be brought to the brink, government troops have taken back Mingora, an exodus of upwards of 3 million people have forced the army to accelerate their efforts in the Swat valley, With over 1200 militants killed in the last month alone the public are beginning to believe this is a fight they can win, we in the west should give as much help as we can to the cause as stability in  a nuclear Pakistan is to all our benefit. Hostility to the west appears to have lessened to as the U.S have taken a more discreet approach to dealing with the terrorists, Drone attacks which had been accused of causing excessive civilian casualties are down for the month of may. lets pray momentum is maintained.

West London wasters

with a wage bill in the region of a 150 million pounds a year, Roman must feel a little hard done by one trophy in 2 years, chuck in 3 managers and headlines on the front page as opposed to the traditional sports pages, and its no wonder rumours are starting to creep out of the bridge that his love affair with the west London posers could be over. contrast to a very contented Bill Kenwright who has seen his toffees reach 5th place in the league (what odds on 4th next season) and a cup final appearance after a gap of 14 years when  as underdogs they humbled man utd 1-0 thanks to a Paul Rideout header. incidentally all quietly achieved with no fuss and a wage bill of around 50 million,  the next 12 months will be crucial for Chelsea if they want to keep red rom and and his wallet.

is it just me? I am sick of these shows that exploit the feeble minded on primetime tv, 14 million people are expected to tune in tonight to watch an overwieght greek and his obese son prance around on stage under the guise of dancing while morons in the audience split their sides laughing, what about "singing sensation hairy angel" susan boyle, ok she can sing a bit but surely if she had anything about her she would have been "discovered" by now she is 48 for gods sake, and looking at her its obvious why she is still a virgin. and if I see one more sickly sweet kid that can sing in a cute voice and comes with the obligatory abused background I will scream. who would have thought it I miss Eric and Ern, I even feel a little nostalgic for cannon and ball. I more night of torture then 4 days relief before my other bugbear Big brother.
