Cameron should call Election

There will never be a better time for David Cameron to call an early election guaranteeing himself 5 more years than now, With “Red” Ed Milliband the union stooge winning the Labour leadership contest and the IMF endorsing Chancellor George Osborne's plans to cut Britain's record deficit to nothing within 5 years, he will never be in a stronger position.

Premier league Super injunction

Rumours are once again doing the rounds that a famous footballer, “ a household name” as he has been described has acquired a so called super injunction to block details emerging about his private life.

Putting together the hints the papers have been able to drop without breaking any contempt laws.

I have an idea who it may be, I am going to tentatively stick my neck out and say its Rio Ferdinand of Man Utd, If I am wrong, sorry Rio and no harm done, and if  I am right and we will know in 3  weeks when the newspaper appeals are heard and the injunction is overturned (and it will be) then its another DurdensView exclusive.

David Beckham

So David Beckham is upset with England manager Fabio Capello for his handling of the  announcement that he has retired him from international football, ok I have some sympathy with the manner the story broke and maybe after years of loyal service Beckham should have been treated with a little more respect, a phone call before he told the world in a TV interview would have been the right way to do it.

But Beckham should get of his high horse and consider himself lucky that he got his last 10/12 caps at all anyone who knows anything about football knows it was a financial decision by the FA to keep him in the squad, what ever else Beckham is he is good box office and his name on the team sheets keep sponsors happy, so ride of into the sunset David and consider yourself fortunate to have had so many caps at all.

Crouch and Abbey

“Crouch banished to Couch” Screamed the headline in the sun this morning referring to the fallout over stories that Peter Crouch had paid a teen hooker for sex over the weekend. His FiancĂ© Abbey Clancy and he had apparently had a blazing row, according to the Suns “sources” and she had banned him from the bedroom.

Can we trust the “source” if it expect us to believe that The millionaire footballer lives in a one bedroom house.

Martin O’Neill Shock Resignation

After catching my breath with the news of the shock resignation of Martin O’Neill I sat and pondered on who his replacement could be, it only took me a minute to realise I don’t care and I don’t suppose anyone outside Birmingham does either.

Naomi Campbell

Business must be quiet at the Hague where the Trial of Charles Taylor the former Liberian dictator is taking place, the emphasis being placed on whether or not Taylor gave the super model Naomi Campbell “blood diamonds” seems to be taking over the case.

Lets focus guys,  he is there being tried for crimes against humanity, the blood of thousands of people are on his hands, does it really matter what the already proven liar Naomi Campbell is saying, her testimony has already been discredited by two witness’s one of whom was Miss Campbell's own manager.

So lets dismiss Campbell’s statement and get on with the trial, by her own admission she is frightened of the repercussions of her appearance at the trial and is scared that Taylor may reach out and harm her through his supporters, she has said as much in court, so who can blame her for lying.

The prosecution have enough on Taylor without Campbell so lets get on with it, lock him up throw away the key and move on.

Pasta La Vista

After a relatively slow start the world cup is shaping up nicely, already the last world cups finalists are on the way home and today the pre tournament favourites Spain could be joining them, though I don’t realistically expect Spain to lose to Chile but who knows.

Italy and France deserved what they got both sides performed terribly France with a fractured camp and the Italians with an ageing squad, so its pasta la vista to the Italians and Bonsoir to the frogs.

This opens up the tournament beautifully for Brazil or so it would appear but Brazil have not been firing on all cylinders yet  either,  they have played fantastic football in parts but not nearly consistently enough.

My pre tournament fancy Argentina still look the team to beat though my heart is with England, as expected they got past Slovenia the score flattering the opposition, England were better value than just 1-0 but it made for an exciting final 10 minutes.

If or should I say when England send the Germans packing it will set up a mouth watering clash with Argentina, we have waited a long time to settle the score with Maradonna and his” hand of god goal” 24 years to be exact but July 3rd could be when we get our revenge.

COME ON ENGLAND

Come On England

What a shambles the qualifying stage has become for England it looks pretty bleak, but a closer examination of what has gone wrong reveals to me that we have really only had one bad result and that was the Algeria game.

I think the problem goes back to when the draw was made, when the opposition was announced it almost looked like a bye for England, after all it was only Algeria and Slovenia to get by for an easy 6 points and maybe 9  and easy qualification.

That’s where I see the problem the England squad have gone into the first stages complacent, not in a competitive mood,  in their minds they were already thinking of the knockout stages, in truth they did not play that badly against the USA who incidentally are only two places behind them in the world rankings.

Nobody really turned up for the Algeria game because they expected to stroll through it what a shock when Algeria started to come at them, even then England should have been able to turn things around but Capello when it mattered failed to inspire with his substitutions, we lacked a plan B.

When it became obvious that we would not get things our own way we should have switched tactics and Capello didn’t, his substitutions were really just like for like, and why on earth did he not throw on Joe Cole I am not his biggest fan but why take him if you are not going to use him.

I see a different England coming out against Slovenia this Wednesday, after all this is the same squad that won nine out of ten qualifying matches they have not become rubbish overnight, now that the pressure is on us to get a result I believe we will, I see a comfy 3-0 maybe 3-1 result and then on to knockouts and who knows.

I still think Argentina will be the eventual champions but what’s life without a dream so COME ON ENGLAND.

Vuvuzela

What a shame that the World cup though it isn’t firing on all cylinders yet is being ruined by the “Vuvuzela” it’s a kind of trumpet that emits an irritating sound when blown, apparently very popular in Africa.

This though it may be acceptable in Africa is not elsewhere and is ruining the premier football tournament for everyone else, there is a simple solution, cancel out crowd noise and let the viewer  only hear the commentary. Problem solved.

It has also been suggested that the games have been below par because the players are being put of by this sound to, I would not be surprised if this were true.

By the way I stick by my pre tournament tip that Argentina will win the tournament, so called favourites Spain were humbled by Switzerland yesterday and Brazil were very pedestrian in their opening match against the North Koreans, I am sure there are many twists and turns still to come but for now Maradona’s boys look to be the ones, though my heart still says England my brain says otherwise.

Nick Clegg - Call Girl

Nick Clegg is behaving like a high priced call girl touting himself out there looking for the best price, after 4 days of cosying up to the Conservatives he has now started flirting with Labour, none of this is about policies now its about grabbing every last concession the pathetic Lib Dems can before they are consigned back to the political backwater.

Finally David Cameron has had enough and said no more concessions, personally I would like to see another election called the Tories only lost by 16000 votes so a swing of 1.8% would be enough to see them win with a clear majority.

But Labour in their desperation to cling to power look like they are about to flop on their backs and let Clegg do what he likes, this would be a disaster for the Country even some senior Labour figures have their doubts about a successful coalition.

Brown has finally offered his resignation but astonishingly wants to remain leader for another four months before he finally leaves, this is beyond ridiculous , how can the Country function with a lame duck leader for so long, I think his own cabinet will turn on him and he will be gone within a week.

So fun and games for the moment while British politics descends into farce in the eyes of the world, after 13 years of a Labour government the last 3 years with an unelected leader we cant even change Governments properly.

Let us hope that sanity prevails and Clegg slips back under the covers with Cameron and we can get the Tory lib marriage under way, not sure how long it will last and how happy the couple will be, but its better than what we have now.

Saturday 8 May 2010

Un-hung Parliament

I am surprised I was so wrong on the mood of the British public regards Gordon Brown, how did so many people keep faith with him, this tells me that lots of people take no notice of policies but vote the same way they have voted all their lives.

if Labour had been judged on the last 13 years I don’t believe they would have even finished in second place in number of votes cast, still I was spot on about Clegg being exposed as the wishy washy tree hugger that he is, I’ll settle for that for now.

Even though it has finished as a hung parliament I still believe Cameron will be moving into number 10 by the end of next week, he may have to get into bed with Clegg to oust Brown but it will be a marriage of convenience and Clegg will soon become an irrelevance.

Hung Parliament

I cant believe that the majority of pre election polls are forecasting a hung parliament, I disagree and predict that the Conservative party will win decisively.

People polled on the street are more likely to say what they believe their asker wants to hear then their true intent and  this is doubly true if there are others within earshot, so once again the polls will be wrong, policies aside common sense tells us it will be a Tory win.

After 13 years of Labour turning this once great country into the mess it is now the British public will not allow Brown to continue, look at immigration look at crime look at the economy, three huge nails in the Labour coffin, so we look for an alternative there are only 2 to choose from, and of the two Conservative looks the only pick, before people can take the Liberals to seriously they need to toughen up, tree hugging is okay for running a commune but not  a nation.

The Liberal leader Nick Clegg has no substance, apart from a short stint working for Leon Brittain in Europe and he only got that job because of his language skill ( he speaks 5 Languages) Clegg has never had a proper job, his family’s wealth has isolated him from life’s real problems, that’s why he spouts such nonsense as giving up our nuclear capability, Clegg has always been protected from the bogeyman, so he has no idea that bad people exist in the world and that we must protect ourselves against unstable elements like North Korea and Iran.

So disregard the Liberals to, a comfy win for the Tories, lets hope our confidence in David Cameron to make a difference  is justified and we can begin to see our once great country rise up again. incidentally I fear the last 13 years of our open door policy on immigration will also register at the polls with big gains for the BNP and such. Don’t waste your vote, Vote Cameron.

Utd Pip Chelsea

It looks like the premier league title is heading to Stamford Bridge thanks to an inept display from Liverpool yesterday topped of with a gift of an opening goal from perhaps the most over rated player in the division, Stevan Gerrard who on his day can play but usually flatters to deceive looks to have settled the closest Championship contest for years with a schoolboy error.

It should all be settled, but I have a sneaky feeling that  it is not quite over yet, all Chelsea have to do is beat Wigan at home next weekend and they are champions, however I am sticking my neck out and predicting a shock draw in that game, meanwhile Utd take all three points at home against Stoke and snatch the title on the last day thereby creating history with 4 league titles in a row.

That sounds a better scenario than having the best league in the world settled by a iffy back pass.

Higgin’s Snookered

The world’s number one  snooker player was suspended last night after allegations that he was willing to take a £261,000 bribe.

John Higgins claimed that he had agreed to lose frames in four matches against three prominent players because he feared he was being threatened by the Russian mafia.

In a sting by the News of the world Higgins was exposed as a money grabbing cheat, he has tried to weasel his way out of this by making the allegation about gangsters, but having watched the clip of Higgins and his manager there is no doubt from the body language of both men that there was no duress involved.

The player, who won the world title in 1998, 2007 and 2009 and was appointed MBE for services to sport  insisted yesterday that he was innocent, I have no sympathy for Higgins and hope that he receives a life ban and has his MBE taken of  him, the image of snooker as a gentleman's game has been shattered and only strong and immediate action by the game’s governing body can bring any sort of credibility back.

I don’t for a second believe that Higgins is the only player to be involved with this betting syndicate  because of the huge sums involved in frame betting and more names will come out in the following days and weeks.

It will take a long time for snooker to recover from this.

Wood’s Woes Continue

If a sign were needed that Tiger Woods’s off-course problems were affecting his game, it came in dramatic style in the first round of the Quail Hollow Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina, yesterday. Tiger shot a 6  over par 74 on the first day then followed it with a 11 over par 79 on day two, an unbelievable 17 shots behind leader Billy Mayfair in just two rounds.

Needless to say Wood’s has missed the cut, that for only the sixth time in his 14 year professional career, in his heyday Tiger shooting two consecutive bogeys made news yesterday he had a run of six holes scoring bogey or worse.

On December 7th last year I suggested Tiger may not play  professional golf again because of his mental state due to his of course problems, http://durdensview.blogspot.com/2009/12/tiger-will-retire.html  Tiger being Tiger attempted to prove his critics wrong, I stand by my prediction and believe retirement cannot be far away.

Moyes For Utd

I see that the press are reporting Moyes is being pushed forward by Alex Ferguson to replace him at Old Trafford when he retires, possibly at the end of next season, this does not come as a surprise to me I was of that opinion and reported it last October, http://durdensview.blogspot.com/2009/10/raphael-beneath-us.html

I reiterate what a great job Moyes is doing with very limited resources, how much better could he do with top class players and a cheque book, I am not convinced that Ferguson barring ill health will go next season so Anfield could be Moyes first stop, one thing is for certain Benitez will not be there.

Election Debate Conclusion

Having now seen the rest of last nights live election debate, it has served to reinforce my belief that David Cameron is the only real option come May 6th, Gordon Brown did not perform particularly badly last night but as well as he could perform you would still put the last 13 years down to Labour, and who wants 5 more years of the same.

It was particularly galling listening to him claiming that our armed forces were so well equipped and that Senior military commanders had told him it was the best they had ever had it, when all we the public seem to see in the media is soldiers and officers alike crying out for more equipment.

Clegg you could pick out of a line up as a liberal, his wishy washy ways are not suited to running a Country, for heavens sake in the worst period of the World’s history where Rogue nations are  trying to develop nuclear capabilities and by capability we all know it means weapons, Clegg wants us to give up our nuclear deterrent,,

I had to laugh at his proposal for criminals to stand in front of their victims and apologise, I’m sure rape victims are happy about that one,  incidentally I wonder how long a day he spends in front of the mirror practising his ridiculously theatrical hand movements.

I stand by my assertion that Cameron is the only viable choice at the moment, he talks a lot of sense, don’t be put of by his “toff” look, of the three candidates he is the closest to the man on the street.

Election Debate

I’m embarrassed to say I missed the live showing of the first ever live televised election debate this Country has ever had, but I have almost caught up with a recording of the show and am now just   a little behind as I have not watched it in it’s entirety.

I did however see the part on immigration and give the first round convincingly to David Cameron, a blind man can see we need a border police force and he is the only one advocating the need, the other two kept harping on about inward migration without really appreciating inward migration isn’t the real problem but illegal migration is.

Clegg’s regional only policy on immigration was laughable, according to Clegg once an immigrant comes into a region to fill a  job vacancy he is then not allowed to leave that region, how does he propose we enforce this, give each migrant their own policeman to monitor them 24/7?

Brown claimed the Labour policy of giving foreign nationals ID cards that they then  had to produce before they could work in this Country was effective, effective he claimed  because employers ran the risk of huge fines for employing workers without said ID cards, but he neglected to offer any information on whether there had been any instances where any action had been taken against any employer for doing so, I suspect none had or Brown would have trotted the statistics out, one thing about our Gordon is he does love a statistic.

So round one to Cameron in a convincing manner, I will offer my opinions on each part of the debate as I watch it, hopefully I will have caught up with the rest of the nation in the not to distant future.

Qatari Diplomat

A Qatari diplomat sparked a security alert while on a flight from Washington to Denver overnight when he was caught apparently trying to have a sneaky cigarette in the toilet, then made a joke about a shoe bomb when confronted by airline personnel.

An air marshal on the flight reportedly tried to restrain him after he made the joke, which alarmed fellow passengers, some joke, bloody idiot.

The FBI was investigating whether the man, identified by ABC News as Qatari diplomat Mohammed al-Modadi, tried to ignite something aboard the plane. Mr al-Modadi, 27, has full diplomatic immunity as the third secretary and vice-consul of the Qatari embassy in Washington. He is described as a mid-level Qatari diplomat who has been in the US for two years.

And we thought our politicians were mad, if this is a Qatari DIPLOMAT behaving like that what does it say about the rest of his Countryman.

Swine Flu A pigs Ear

Remember my piece about the how the Government exaggerated the Swine flu outbreak http://durdensview.blogspot.com/2009/07/swine-flu.html

Well now the Government admit that they exaggerated and have been left with a £300 million pound bill for a vaccine that they will never use.

Ministers had ordered 90 million doses of the vaccine, though we are a population of less than 70 million.

If you will excuse the pun, they have made a pigs ear out of the whole thing, they say the pandemic “failed to materialise” I’m not sure if that is enough of an answer to a waste of three hundred million pounds of taxpayers money but it’s what we have learned to expect from Labour.

Roll on May the 6th so we can kick these losers out.

Lionel Messi Superman

I’m catching my breath after watching the nearest thing to a perfect football team, the side that Pep Guardiola has put together at Barcelona  is phenomenal, and  the Jewel in the crown is the pint sized genius Lionel Messi, the Argentinean is a footballing god. His single handed demolition of Barca wannabees Arsenal was breathtaking to watch.

Alongside Diego Maradona who incidentally is also Argentinean I believe you have the two greatest players that have ever lived, the frightening thing in Messi ’s case is he is only 22 years old, how much better can he become.

There are not enough superlatives around to describe Messi, the man is a superman where football is concerned, and to think that bar serious injury he has around another 10 years in him for us to enjoy,  footballers traditionally do not hit their peak till around age 28/29.

I urge anybody out there who is a betting man to put their money on Argentina to win the World cup, like Maradona who single handed won the 1986 tournament for his country Messi is that influential.

Pope Sex Abuse Scandal Deepens

Durdensview commented on this story over 2 weeks ago http://durdensview.blogspot.com/2010/03/pope-benedict-xvi.html, now the mainstream press are picking up on it.

This from today’s times newspaper. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article7075237.ece

I reiterate my call for the Pope to stand down.

Nuclear Free World

Cue fanfare of trumpets for yet another “arms reduction treaty” between the US and Russia, it looks and sounds pretty impressive but when you get down to the detail both sides will still have around 1500 nuclear missiles each.

Obama and Medvedev are fooling no-one this is just cosmetic, nothing of substance is happening.

Clowns like these two have been signing "nuclear arms reduction treaties" for the last 30 years and yet both still "upgrade" their arsenals and both still possess enough weapons to reduce the earth to a smouldering cinder many times over.

The signing is due to take place in Prague within the next four weeks, The choice of Prague is symbolic as it was the venue for Mr Obama’s speech last year in which he outlined his ambition for “a world without nuclear weapons”.

At this rate of reduction we should be Nuclear free in about a hundred and twenty years, way to go Obama.

Pete Docherty Druggie

Serial Junkie Pete Docherty has been arrested on suspicion of supplying the drugs that killed 27 year old heiress Robin Whitehead, Docherty attended the police station by APPOINTMENT, why on earth did the police make an appointment for him why wasn’t he arrested at a time of the police’s choosing like all other dealers are.

I really am sick of the preferential treatment celebrity’s get, if you can in fact call Docherty a celebrity in the truest sense, this loser is not famous for his talent but for being the Junkie ex boyfriend of Kate Moss, that and numerous arrests for use and possession of heroin.

In each of his arrests amazingly he always get bail and another chance, in the past he has served jail time, and pleaded guilty many times to possession of crack cocaine heroin, and ketamine,  (the horse tranquilizer) he has also by his own admission worked as a rent boy, this included him robbing his clients as well.

This self destructive behaviour is typical of a addict and I couldn’t care less about Docherty but now his actions have taken the life of a 27 year old girl, it doesn’t matter to me that the girl used drugs anyway, if Docherty hadn’t have supplied her with drugs that day she may well be alive today.

So its time to stop pussyfooting around with this waste of space and hammer him with the full force of the law, murder wont stick but manslaughter might, lets lock him up and throw away the key.

Fulham FC

What a fantastic result last night for Fulham beating Juventus 4-1, I wouldn’t normally take much interest in this mickey mouse competition, but I am hugely impressed with that score line, though they are not the up to the standard of years gone by Juventus team’s this was still Juventus, so for them to be humbled  at unfashionable Craven Cottage like that earns my respect.

I must admit to being in the “anyone but Liverpool camp” because of that loser Benitez, but now I am firmly in the Fulham camp for the duration of this competition.

Roy Hodgson has done a fantastic job with that squad, and I would admire them further but for their unfortunate nickname “The Cottagers” sadly that brings disturbing images to the mind.

Iran Arms Taleban

The Iranian Government has been accused by Afghan and Western officials of delivering tonnes of weaponry to the Taleban, including plastic explosives, mortars, grenades and technical manuals.

Weapons and documents shown to Channel 4 News indicate that more than ten tonnes of weapons have been intercepted at Iran’s desert border with Afghanistan in the past year, with a tonne and a half recovered in the past week.

HOW is this a surprise to anyone, that it only now makes the news, the mind boggles.

Miaow Miaow ban?

The Government’s official drug advisers will recommend later this month that the “legal high” mephedrone should be banned because of the potential serious risks to public health.

Typical knee jerk reaction from the Government, do they really believe making it illegal will stop people using it?.

Lets look at the evidence, Cocaine Heroin Crack Cannabis etc etc all illegal, yet freely available and more popular than ever, so banning this “drug” which is in fact a plant food will make no difference.

This answer if there is one lies in education, teaching kids the dangers of drugs, one way is  showing  hard hitting anti drug films in schools, there is a company the Government use for their no drinking no smoking campaigns that turn out the most brilliantly terrifying adverts against drink driving and smoking.

Showing the effects on the mind from using these so called legal highs will shock many into not going near them, the after effects can be pretty terrifying, like the footage I saw yesterday of a  14 year old boy going through various stages of terror and paranoia, followed by aggression  shown on sky news, if I had any intention of trying this drug, and I don’t,this would have been enough to deter me.

So forget about gimmicks Gordon we know there is an election coming up, you are not fooling anybody, lets get educating our youngsters to the dangers now.

Jedward

Who would have thought it, Sony have cancelled their contract with Jedward after just one album, I find this astonishing the twins John and Edward cant sing cant dance, and they look bloody ridiculous with their bouffant style quiffs, you would have thought they were nailed on to be a success, (refer to Spice girls and  Sugababes).

More pertinently, why were they given a contract in the first place. I have just seen their collaboration with Vanilla ice, and cringed so much I actually aged a couple of years whilst watching it.

The British public usually so discerning completely lose the plot with these so called talents shows, it only takes a Simon or Louis to declare that “they are brilliant” and people lap it up, like sheep they blindly follow, what happened to making your own mind up.

Perhaps I could be a judge on the next show I spotted they were crap immediately.

David Beckham Achilles Injury

As sad as it is on a personal level for David Beckham to be missing a World cup because of his torn Achilles, and he really does have my sympathy the outpouring of doom and gloom his absence will have on our chances is getting to ridiculous proportions.

Had Beckham been picked for the final 23, he would have at best played a cameo part, limited to 15/20 minutes here and there like he is used by his current club, if he is unable to hold down 90 minutes at club level he would not be able to either pitted against the best players in the World.

This has now released Fabio Capello from pressure to include Beckham, his inclusion would have been  from a commercial point of view no doubt nudged by the FA, I am fed up hearing the expression “ambassador” regarding Beckham and England, once the finals start it doesn’t matter what brand Beckham is doing, it’s all about ability on the pitch, and sadly Beckham does not cut the mustard at that level anymore,  I would concede in a dead ball situation Beckham is still amongst the best in the world but the modern game does not allow for the luxury of having a player on the pitch just for free kicks and corners.

So thank you David for your contributions to England, and by the way they haven’t all been positive contributions, lets not forget sent of in 1998 against Argentina, gave the fans the finger in 2000 against Italy, missed a penalty against Portugal in 2004.

But I forgive him him all those for that wonderful free kick against Greece in 2001 to get England to the World cup finals in 2002.

So no more talk about Beckham and the World cup now, lets concentrate on the players that are going.

Pope Benedict XVI

The Pope was drawn directly into the Roman Catholic sex abuse scandal last night as news emerged of his part in a decision to send a paedophile priest for therapy. The cleric went on to reoffend and was convicted of child abuse but continues to work as a priest in Upper Bavaria.

Unbelievable as that may sound it’s true, this will have a catastrophic impact on Catholics around the World, I would hope that the Pope will immediately step down, the spiritual leader of the World’s 1.3 billion Catholic’s, Gods representative if you will, cannot and must not be allowed to remain in his position.

The accused priest was sent from Essen to Munich for therapy in 1980 when he was accused of forcing an 11-year-old boy to perform oral sex. The archdiocese confirmed that the Pope, who was then a cardinal, had approved a decision to accommodate the priest in a rectory while the therapy took place.

I know we are taught by the Bible to be forgiving and to offer a second chance, but this is ridiculous.

A number of years ago in this Country a judge gave a serial child abuser yet another chance, after he appeared before him for the fourth time, some observers called for the judge to be investigated because of his over lenient stance on child abuse, the Judge was free to continue, but a couple of years along the road he was forced to resign when children’s images were found on his computer, not outright porn but not his children and disturbing enough to cause him to resign. I wont name this Judge because there was no conviction.

The Pope must step down.

Jon Venable’s

Jack Straw, the Justice Secretary, was under pressure last night to lift the veil of secrecy over the decision to return one of James Bulger’s killers to custody for breaking the terms of his parole.

He claims that its in the public interest, no it isn’t Venables was released because he was supposed to have been rehabilitated, the Government’s parole system failed, so we have aright to know what has happened.

I understand that Venables has been returned to jail for violence and drugs offences, its believed he is addicted to cocaine and has an explosive temper, there have already been a couple of incidents prior to this latest breach of licence, this one deemed serious enough to return him to jail.

He had previously been in a fight after he saw a man talking to his girlfriend, and on another occasion needed emergency treatment after yet another fight in the street, on that occasion he went to a hospital on Merseyside, though that was a breach of his licence to, Venables is not allowed to enter Merseyside.

Jack Straw made it clear yesterday that the reason for his recall will never be divulged with a heavy emphasis on never, however I believe public interest and concern is so great that the story will eventually come out , already snippets are appearing on the internet.

James Bulgers killers may have only been 10 years old when they committed their awful crime, and according to the law not responsible for their actions, but any human being that can inflict the kind of torture on a 2 year old boy and then kill him like they did should never be freed, like the animals that they are they should remain in cages.

John Terry Booed

The big question in football for the last couple of days on radio phone in shows has been whether or not John Terry will be booed at Wembley tonight by the England fans.

I believe the answer is yes he will be absolutely slaughtered by the majority of fans, and deservedly so, before people star saying it will be damaging England’s chances by booing him, I say he himself has already damaged our chances by his behaviour, first by sleeping with his teammates ex Vanessa Perroncel, and then by refusing to apologise.

there are those out there that say this is a personal matter and not a football one and the two should be kept separate, to those I say Rubbish, Terry has brought the position of England captain into disrepute, he has disrespected the role, and cheapened the armband.

It is said that there are up to 5 senior squad players that are against Terry even being in the squad, this can only have a negative effect. Craig Bellamy summed it up brilliantly on a sky TV interview after Man City humbled Chhelse4-2 at Stamford Bridge at the weekend, he said “I have no time for him I know what he is like, everybody in football knows what Terry is like of the field”

Wayne Bridge is totally blameless in this affair, yet he is missing the chance to go to the World Cup because of Terry’s actions, I believe Bridge will regret his decision, and I hope he will change his mind, better still somebody breaks Terry’s leg and puts this whole matter to bed.

How desperate was Terry for sex that he could not turn Vanessa down, we are told all the time how footballers have women throwing themselves at them all the time, Terry’s wife should shoulder some of the blame for her husbands behaviour she obviously has no self respect and by continually forgiving him for his cheating ( at least 10 reported times) she has given him the green light to do as he pleases.

So I hope he is booed loudly and consistently tonight,  it wont affect the result, we should comfortably see of Egypt, in what is only a friendly but maybe Terry might get the message and do the decent thing and pull himself out of the squad for South Africa, but the words decent and Terry don’t mix well.

Arsene Wenger - Disgrace

I hope the FA are going to take action against the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger for the disgraceful comments he made on Saturday, after that awful injury to Aaron Ramsey in their away fixture to Stoke City.

It was clearly an accident a badly timed challenge by Ryan Shawcross that was clumsy at worst, I have watched the incident many times and can see no intent, in fact though not conclusive it also appears that Ramsey was going down on that ankle already when the tackle came in.

We all feel terrible for the young lad Aaron Ramsey, who sustained a broken leg, the injury is likely to keep him out of football for at least  year, and even then there are no guarantees that he will play again.

Wenger’s comments that Players deliberately go out to injure his players because they are so skilful are outrageous and without foundation, he claimed that after three such injury’s to his players in 5 years it proves his case.

Rubbish that is just a sad coincidence, if managers were sending their teams out to injure Arsenal players, considering they play about 70 games a season that would be about 350 games, their would be more than 3 serious injury’s.

Wenger’s comments are becoming all to predictable , he does love to play the victim, its always”everybody is out to get us” maybe he should concentrate on winning something, (they are 5 years without winning anything) and spend less time dreaming up conspiracy theory’s.

in the meantime I wish Aaron Ramsey a full and speedy recovery.

Mahmoud al-Mabhouh

The Hamas arms dealer murdered in Dubai was drugged with a strong sedative then suffocated while paralysed but still conscious, police have revealed.

Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was injected with the fast-acting muscle relaxant succinylcholine, according to a toxicology report released yesterday. He was then suffocated with a pillow in his hotel room in the January 19 hit by suspected Israeli agents.

This has been reported as though the Israeli’s have done something bad, unless I am missing something they have rid the world of a terrorist. good riddance end of story, lets move on.

There will be endless inquests, endless reports and revelations, bottom line is though another fanatic who dreamed of paradise has been helped on his way there.

Israel should be applauded.

Pakistan Taliban

Significant leaders of the Pakistani Taleban have been killed or captured in an onslaught of frontier ground and air attacks, a Pakistani general has told the media.

“The militant command and control centres and their caches have been dismantled or captured,” said Major-General Tariq Khan. He goes as far as to say the Pakistan Taliban no longer exist as a cohesive military force.

Big words from the General and if they are accurate, it has a been a brilliant campaign from the Pakistan military, with 790 Taliban killed since November and hundreds more captured.

The claims come at a time of improved military co-operation between America and Pakistan, in which US drones have killed a number of key Pakistani Taleban commanders, and Pakistani security agents have arrested at least four senior Afghan Taleban leaders over the past month.

Some positive news from that part of the World at last, now if that success can be replicated in Afghanistan, that really would be a reason to be optimistic, our troops may soon be on the way home.

Gaddafi Flips

Muammar Gaddafi has appealed for jihad against Switzerland, long regarded as one of the most peaceful nations in the world.

The Libyan leader’s call for a holy war was, he said, a response to a Swiss referendum in November to ban the construction of minarets on mosques.

In a rambling tirade he called on all Muslims throughout the world to go to airports in their masses and block the runways so Swiss planes can’t land, and to do the same at harbours to prevent any Swiss ships docking, apparently being unaware that The Swiss do not have a merchant Navy or a coast.

In fact this has nothing to do with religion or minarets, it relates back to 2008 when Gaddafi’s son Hannibal was arrested and held in Geneva on charges of beating his servants.

He made clear that Switzerland, “an infidel, obscene state which is destroying mosques”, was at the very least an ideological enemy.

When Hannibal Gaddafi and his wife were held by Swiss police, the Libyan authorities cut oil supplies to Switzerland, withdrew several billion dollars from Swiss banks and held two Swiss businessmen. One was allowed to leave this week, but the second,  is still in prison.

Madman Gaddafi is unbelievably one of the middle East’s longest serving rulers. that says a lot about the region, and go’s some way to explaining why it has so many problems.

Jose Mourinho Finally The Special One

Jose Mourinho enjoyed Champions League victory over his former club last night  and immediately sought to gain a psychological advantage for his return to Stamford Bridge by reminding Chelsea of his superb record there.

I have criticised Mourinho many times in the past for his negative style , but it was the manner of the win that was impressive last night, fast flowing, attacking direct football that looked more like a Ferguson team than a Jose team.

On that form I don’t think Chelsea will get the result they need at the Bridge, coming with the same mindset I think Milan can score, and the way they defended last night, I’m not sure Chelsea can get the amount of goals they would need.

The Special One ( he finally earned his self declared nickname) did not celebrate Inter’s goals last night but said he was pleased. “Of course I’m happy inside, as a professional I want to win, more than anybody else,”. I am not a fan of this new fad of “not celebrating” when your team scores as a kind of respect to your previous team, I find it childish and a little fake.

Cheryl Cole My Final Word

I am sick to the back teeth with the Coles but as they are in the news every day at the moment I cant get away from them, even on the radio listening to sports stations I can’t escape them.

On one station today a caller in remarked that “poor things never stood a chance because both are high profile with separate careers so they didn’t get to spend much time together”

Just a couple of things on that, Cheryl Cole is only a big a name as she is now because Ashley cheated on her 3 years ago, prior to his infidelity she was one fifth of a manufactured albeit successful girl group, that owed more to their skimpy clothing than there ability.

in 2003  Cheryl was found guilty of assaulting a black nightclub worker, she was cleared of racially abusing her, but the jury found her guilty of assault and she was sentenced to 120 hours community service, paid her victim £500, and paid £3000 costs.

She was then largely forgotten until she met and married Ashley in one of the tackiest weddings I can remember.

After he cheated on her the first time rather than show a bit of class and walk away, she stood by him, a blind man could see how it was going to end.

Now that she has finally dumped him any semblance of pity she may have got for being the victim, she loses immediately by dropping her knickers the same night for a dancer she met in L.A.

She should have stayed with Ashley , they deserve each other.

Cheryl Cole Divorce

About time she showed some self respect, reports in the press today say she is divorcing the serial cheat “ Cashley”, now if she could just stop wandering around looking so pathetic playing to an audience, that is the British public.

Outsize shades on 24/7 that frankly look ridiculous, and what’s with the themed T Shirts, one day a crying woman the next day a broken heart, does her whole life have to be played to camera’s, didn’t take her long to start dating either did it.

She is not the first woman to be treated like this by her husband (ask Toni Terry) and she wont be the last, so stop playing the martyr and get on with it.

Tiger’s Press Conference

What a disappointment, the long awaited apology at last, it  was so fake and so staged it was almost comical, sure he used the right words, I lost count of the amount of times he used the word sorry  but  it rang hollow.

He had obviously been coached on body language as well because he kept trying to coincide the word sorry with  a straight at the camera stare, his arrogance was still there as he told the press to leave his wife and kids alone, because none of this was their fault  it was all down to him ( I hadn’t noticed anyone blaming his wife and kids).

So it looks like he is paving the way for a golfing return, he said possibly this year, he thanked at least twice his fellow golfers on the tour and expressed gratitude for all their support, I am not aware of any significant number of players backing him, in fact a few today openly criticised him.

So Tiger wants business as usual when he does grace us with his presence, sorry Tiger I don’t think that’s going to happen.

Tiger Woods Pathetic

What is Tiger thinking, announcing a press conference right in the middle of a tournament , this is hardly likely to endear him to his fellow pro’s, why could he have not made his announcement Monday, which is normally the day for news conferences in golfing circles.

But like the control freak that Tiger is, even his “apology” is stage managed he will read a prepared statement to a hand picked audience who are not permitted to ask questions, I will be surprised if the whole thing lasts longer than 5 minutes.

This could also be a dig at the tournament sponsors who are Accenture, this company were one of  Tigers biggest sponsors, if that is the case that is childish behaviour from Woods,  Accenture were also the first to drop him when the scandal broke, quite rightly in my opinion, any standing that Tiger had has evaporated in light of what a pathetic man he is in his personal life, Tiger went beyond just having an affair and is in the realms of sleaze.

I believe if and when Tiger plays his first tournament he can be expected to be shunned by a lot of fellow pro’s, and ridiculed by large sections of the gallery’s any respect he had has gone out of the window, and the aura and mystique around the man has followed.

A few pro’s have already publicly criticised him, the latest being Ernie Els, who has been a model pro all his life and never a whiff of anything untoward about him. Ernie has earned the right to comment on Tiger bringing the game into disrepute.

McCanns win Injunction

A Portuguese court upheld on Thursday a ban on a book about the disappearance of British toddler Madeleine McCann written by former detective Goncalo Amaral who led the initial investigation.

Published in 2008, Amaral's book, "Maddie: The Truth of the Lie," was removed from shelves following an injunction last September after the McCanns claimed the book defamed them by suggesting Madeleine died in her room in a Portuguese holiday resort and they faked her abduction.

Speaking outside the court the father Gerry McCann said, “this is a victory for us there was never any evidence to suggest Madeline was killed ”

That’s not strictly true, dogs that are trained to sniff out bodies reacted to the McCanns rental car, and again to the apartment they were staying in, if we are honest there is no evidence to back up the McCanns version that Madeline was kidnapped.

Paul McCartney Miser

The skinflint ex Beatle Paul McCartney has pleaded for investors to bail out Abbey Road studios who have been put up for sale to help struggling EMI with their debts.

Seeing as how  latest rich list estimates put the notoriously tight Beatle at 825 million pounds, you would imagine he could put his hand in his own pocket.

Tight Git.

Anglo Israeli Relations

Britain summoned the Israeli Ambassador to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office yesterday, and Gordon Brown promised a full inquiry into the use of fake British passports by a suspected Mossad hit squad.

The Israeli spy agency is the main suspect in the death of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, the Hamas leader assassinated in his Dubai hotel room last month. The a theft of the identities of six British citizens threatens to sour Anglo-Israeli relations, according to Whitehall sources.

What rubbish rather than sour any relationship I bet our Government are looking across at their Israeli counterparts and wishing they had their balls, what a brilliant way to get rid of your terrorists, kill them, certainly better than our method, council house, benefits, legal aid, and if by some miracle we got a conviction, a life of relative luxury in one of her majesty’s hotels, I wont call them prisons, if you want  a real prison take a look at Turkey’s prison system or some of them in African states.

So far from rebuking the Ambassador I would imagine a pat on the back and a hearty well done, but for appearances sake they will perform for the media.

Taliban Weakened

The capture of the Taliban leader Mullah Salam, comes on the heels of news that Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Taliban's No. 2, had been captured early this month in Pakistan.

The news reports referring to his capture have been very low key, which is really the way to describe the  press reporting on the ongoing operation in Afghanistan, there have already been significant gains, but the military appear to  have learned from past campaigns to not have to much fanfare over each little accomplishment.

It seems as though everything is going to plan, and a significant number of  Taliban leaders, the number running into 3 figures, had been killed by British and US special forces  leading up to the start of this latest operation, this has served to severely restrict the Taliban capability.

So far so good, not to many casualty’s on the allied side, but I am sure the Taliban will have one final surge before they lose to our inevitable superior firepower.

Falkland Islands

Another Navy Warship sailed toward Argentina yesterday bringing our total there to 4, this is a display of firepower to deter the Argentineans  from trying anything, back in 1982 the the ruler a General Leopold Galtieri invaded the British Falkland islands plunging us into a 74 day war.

The invasion then was designed to make his regime popular with the masses, until the invasion there was a lot of opposition to it, once the war took place the Country united behind him.

The Falkland islands are British no question, the Union flag has flown over the Falklands for 231years since they were first spotted by a British Navigator.

259 British servicemen died and 649 Argentineans, in this Country the dispute is considered dealt with, but in Argentina it still evokes strong resentment in fact their history books still refer to them as Argentinean,  at port crossings there are still signs up that say “welcome to Las Malvinas” which is how they are known  in Argentina.

A weak Government there headed by President Kirchner appear to be using the same tactics to try and gain support by playing the nationalistic card, this is a dangerous game because we to have a weak Government at the moment and what better way to unite this Country behind them then a War, the British in time of conflict are fiercely patriotic.

Add to the mix a suspected sixty billion barrels of oil under the disputed waters and you have a dangerous situation, Back in 1982 we were not really ready for a war in terms of equipment but thanks to our then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s special relationship with US president the late Ronald Reagan, the Americans made up our shortfall.

I don’t for a second think that the Argentineans are any match for British firepower, and hope this is just posturing on President Kirchner’s part, but sixty billion barrels is a huge incentive, and we have seen what the lust for oil has done in other parts of the world.

Ray Gosling Mercy Killing

A BBC presenter who confessed on television to carrying out a mercy killing on a lover who was dying from Aids will refuse to co-operate with a police investigation.

Ray Gosling said that he would not tell detectives the name of the young partner he claimed to have smothered with a pillow as he lay in hospital more than 20 years ago.

I don’t believe this to be true at all, I suspect it was made up to “jazz” the programme up and give it some controversy, even just for a second allowing that the statement was true, would the BBC be able to broadcast what is tantamount to a murder confession without informing the police first, The BBC is after a public body.

In an interview I saw last night on Sky news Mr Gosling implicated a Doctor by saying the Doctor left him alone with his lover and then with a nudge and a wink hinted he should do it and he would “be back in half hour”.

Twenty years is not that long a ago and it would be fairly easy for the police to investigate this, I will be very surprised if anything came of this story.

Cheryl Cole Mime Artiste

The media really have to stop describing Cheryl Cole as a singer, yet again at the Brits last night she mimed and even her pre- recorded smartened up digitally enhanced voice was rubbish.

We were told that she had thrown herself in to rehearsals to take or mind of her marital woes after her husband Cashley had been caught cheating, yet again, (when will she learn), if that performance was the result of intensive rehearsal then she should pack up, cant sing cant dance, how on earth is she an X factor judge passing comment on people week in week out who can sing live.

there was a section of her song where a backing singer sung a short solo live and showed Cheryl  up, a great voice serving to highlight the fact Cheryl cant sing.

I’d like to say just a pretty face but I cant even honestly say that, perhaps she should move to France and study mime properly, maybe a career there beckons.

Mossad

Six suspects in the assassination of a senior Hamas official in Dubai entered the country using British passports, it emerged yesterday, this after the body of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was found in a hotel room.

This is undoubtedly the work of Mossad the Israeli intelligence service,  who have a history of this kind of killing, it has been widely reported in a way that makes it look like Israel have by using British passports cheated their way to killing the Hamas leader, as if their are rules in place for this kind of thing.

When terrorists use ingenious ways to leave bombs behind nobody criticises them for being to sneaky, why then the outrage at Mossad. I applaud the Israeli  tactic of going after terrorists wherever they may be, using whatever method best suits the task.

Israeli’s are not the type of people to leave any attack unanswered, they have a history of exacting revenge.

Following the Munich massacre in 1972, Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir gave instructions for Israeli agents to hunt down and kill those behind it. She told the Knesset ,

“We have no choice but to strike at the terrorist organizations wherever we can reach them. That is our obligation to ourselves and to peace. We shall fulfil that obligation undauntedly”.

Western Countries our own included would do well to learn from the Israeli way, perhaps it may deter some of our own enemy’s .

Climate Change

The United Nations climate panel faces a new challenge with scientists casting doubt on its claim that global temperatures are rising inexorably because of human pollution.

The doubts of John Christy professor of atmospheric science at Alabama university and a number of other researchers focus on the thousands of weather stations around the world, which have been used to collect temperature data over the past 150 years.

These stations, they believe, have been seriously compromised by factors such as urbanisation, changes in land use and, in many cases, being moved from site to site.

I don’t like to keep saying I told you so but …http://durdensview.blogspot.com/2009/12/climate-change-lot-of-hot-air.html

Megrahi

Its been six months and Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi the so called Lockerbie bomber released on compassionate grounds because he was “dying” is alive and well, his family are making plans to celebrate his birthday in six weeks time, which ironically falls on April 1st.

I commented back then that the “dying “ story was a sham http://durdensview.blogspot.com/2009/08/lockerbie.html it was about Libyan oil, the humanitarian angle just lent it some credibility, the families of the 259 killed will be furious at Kenny MacAskill the Scottish justice minister for allowing this travesty.

The damage has been done, it’s not like we can ask for Megrahi back, even if Megrahi had been dying did he need to be shown any compassion after all he did take 259 innocent lives, there is no need to pretend to be that forgiving, there is nothing wrong in wanting him to rot in hell.

Cheryl Cole

Another sex text story concerning  cheating husband Ashley, Cheryl after appearing to “swallow” that rubbish last week,  where he claimed to have taken the nude photos of himself for a laugh then accidentally handed them over to this friend who passed them on to another, it appears he had been doing exactly the same thing with the same phone 8 months earlier.

He had swapped over 300 texts to disgusting to be printed in a national newspaper, and 7 photos in various poses including in an aroused state.

Though I am not a fan of Cheryl Cole, I don’t think she is that talented, she is pretty but with the amount of make up she trowels on I would look pretty to, where is the girls self respect, this is not a young girl on a council estate who needs her husbands wage packet to put food on the table, she is an independently wealthy young woman with the world at her feet.

they say a leopard never changes its spots, I am not sure that is true, but I know the type of bloke Ashley Cole is, and he will keep doing the same thing over and over again, to much money to much time to much temptation, like John Terry nothing is ever enough, that money and fame is burning a hole in their pockets all the time.

The marriage will end in tears, a blind man can see that, Cheryl should rescue a bit of self respect and dump that waste of space now.

I am pleased to say John Hartson has come through his latest operation to remove lesions from his lungs with no problems.

Hartson was diagnosed with testicular cancer last July http://durdensview.blogspot.com/2009/07/john-hartson.html which then spread to his lungs and Brain, it was touch and go whether he would survive, John has already undergone brain surgery.

He is expected to have two more operations but is well enough to be allowed home. my best wishes to him.

Nice try Ashley,  of course it wasn’t you  sending dirty texts to a topless model, your explanation is entirely plausible, who hasn’t done that,  been in a hotel room got ourselves aroused taken photos on a pay as you go phone then given that phone to a mate without deleting the pictures.

That friend then passes the phone to a complete stranger who happens to know a page 3 girl who then proceeds to have phone sex with her.

Happens all the time down my way, lets hope Cheryl buys it.

Iran - A Nuclear State?

President Ahmadinejad declared Iran a “nuclear state” today, saying that scientists had produced the first batch of highly enriched uranium, a leap towards the production of weapons-grade fuel.

I don’t believe this to be true, I don’t accept that Iran is that far down the road in enrichment capability, I smell a bluff here, Ahmadinejad is playing clever he is trying to make believe that he is capable of having the bomb in order to protect his Country from attack.

He may believe this to be a sound tactic, but recent history shows that another middle East ruler that faked having weapons capable of wiping out whole city’s ended up swinging from a rope.

I am surprised that Israel have not already attacked known Iranian nuclear sites, I suspect they are holding of because of the unrest in the Country and are hoping that regime change can be affected from within Iran.

Ahmadinejad would do well to remember that pretending to have weapons of mass destruction did not deter the American invasion of Iraq, and is not likely to deter the Israeli’s when they feel it is time.

Euro in Trouble

European leaders are poised to announce a multibillion-pound rescue of the Greek economy today to try to stop its debt crisis spreading to other countries and wrecking the euro.

Last year Britain was being urged again to dump the pound and join the Euro so as to “rescue” our economy and telling us that how by adopting the European Currency we would strengthen our financial future, how quickly things change.

Germany will be expected to put up most of the money and after years of misleading Greek statistics, fiddles and broken promises of reform, the rescue plan is likely to infuriate conscientious German taxpayers. Nevertheless, it is increasingly seen as the least worst option.  Another would be for a German state owned bank to buy the debt but that would only expose Berlin’s exposure to a crash.

One possible outcome of the crisis would be the break-up of the euro.

Another longer-term plan under discussion is the creation of a “European monetary fund” to avoid the humiliation of having to call in the IMF to save the euro. France and Germany in particular have invested a great deal of prestige in the Euro.

Would it be so terrible if the Euro ceased to exist, Personally I  think it would be a good thing for Country’s to take their identity’s back, this one glove fits all strategy was always going to unravel, and the Greek’s could be the catalyst.

Marjah

Marjah sits just 12 miles from Helmand and is home to just 80,000 people but it could be the tipping point in the war In Afghanistan, The Taliban have a full functioning shadow “Government” there, so Nato ’s all out assault on it is hugely symbolic.

The battle for Marjah will be bloody and US and British forces will take casualty’s but the outcome is not in any doubt the Taliban there will be crushed,  tribal elders that were chased away by the insurgents are poised to return and take over.

This offensive has been announced in the press well before it starts with a lot of the details being made public, on the face of it seeming a strange tactical move informing the enemy of your plans in this way, but there is method in the madness the idea is twofold,1) it gives civilians a chance to leave or at least plan to bunker down until its over, 2) Nato hope to entice more Taliban to the battle so as to inflict greater casualty’s on them.

This assault on the Taliban stronghold will be the biggest offensive since the invasion began in 2001, if successful it could be the turning point in the war, this has been a long time in coming, the Afghan forces are ready to look after there own security paving the way for our troops to come home.

The operation is expected to last about a month and if it goes the way the planners have predicted this will pave the way for our boys to return home sooner rather than later.

David Gold - David Sullivan

With so many clubs in financial trouble West Ham owners David Gold and David Sullivan have come up with a simple solution, and that is to give all the staff at the club a 25% pay cut, that’s all the staff connected to the squad, players coach’s, medical staff, these wage cuts extend upstairs to the boardroom, this may seem harsh but football is a team game.

The cut should have a trigger point and not be able to be bandied around willy nilly,  for example after 20 games any clubs in the bottom six have this rule applied, it must stay in force  for at least a month,  you may get this reversed by moving back up the table.

I am sure there are a lot of holes in this plan and it may not even be workable, but something needs to be done, pampered stars earning millions of pounds a year need to be hit where it hurts, loyalty is largely non existent in football anymore, the only loyalty is to their wallets.

West hams wage bill is in the region of Sixty million pounds a bad season can save up to 15 million pounds.

Portsmouth in their current state would have benefitted already this season to the tune of millions and that could be the difference between survival and administration.

Successful clubs will not be affected and rightly so, success should be rewarded not punished, this should be extended across all divisions, it may even help in the long run the nonsense of massive wages for mediocre players, an example being fringe player at West Ham Defender Manuel Da Costa who I confess I had never heard of  earning twenty thousand pounds a week.

This is what happens when business men run a club like a business,  good working practice is set in place, I wish the two David’s luck at West Ham and hope that they can reduce the clubs 110 million pound debt before the threat of administration creeps up on the Hammers to.

Didier Drogba Super Injunction

I suspect we have another “Super Injunction” flying around, another of Vanessa Perroncel’s lovers appears to have escaped the media furore, my information is that Didier Drogba has also been playing where he shouldn’t be and yet no mention in the public domain.

my information has been very reliable thus far and I seen no reason to think otherwise on this snippet of news.

Back to Terry though the arrogance of the man is breathtaking, he said in a statement yesterday that he hopes by keeping his head down and working hard (I presume he means not cheating) he hopes to win the Captaincy back for the World cup.

I will be very disappointed if Capello has struck some sort of deal with Terry to mollify the public and has promised the armband back to him after a short period.

Personally I think Capello is more of a man than that but nothing surprises me anymore.

Saturday 6 February 2010

John Terry Pays of Lover

On the face of it, it looks like Vanessa Perroncel the girl at the centre of the Terry sex scandal has had enough of the whole media circus and has decided to not reveal details of her relationship with the former England Captain.

But the reality is that Terry has bought her silence with a payoff in the region of £400,000, this does make me wonder what disgusting secrets Terry is looking to hide.

We already know that he has been unfaithful to his wife (yet again) we also know that he got his lover pregnant and subsequently paid for her abortion, you wonder what else their could be that warrants that kind of payoff, as in these kind of cases it wont stay secret for ever and speculation and innuendo as to what it may be will continue up to the World Cup.

No doubt whatever it is will be further damaging  and hurtful to Terry’s long suffering wife who has allegedly already said she will stand by her man, How desperate is she for the fame and fortune that comes with being his wife that no humiliation is to much to endure.

What a lovely couple they deserve each other.

John Terry Skint?

Further revelations over the coming days will show that multi millionaire Terry is cash poor, That is why he has been touting his box to anyone with money and insisting he be paid in cash, and why he was selling ten grand tours of Stamford Bridge a couple of months ago.

Though he earns 170,000 pounds a week he has resorted to raising money against his house, I understand he has remortgaged 4 times in the last 7 years.

How much more is the post of England Captain going to be tarnished by this poor excuse for a man before he does the right thing and QUITS.

Failing that Capello MUST sack him TODAY.
