Un-hung Parliament

I am surprised I was so wrong on the mood of the British public regards Gordon Brown, how did so many people keep faith with him, this tells me that lots of people take no notice of policies but vote the same way they have voted all their lives.

if Labour had been judged on the last 13 years I don’t believe they would have even finished in second place in number of votes cast, still I was spot on about Clegg being exposed as the wishy washy tree hugger that he is, I’ll settle for that for now.

Even though it has finished as a hung parliament I still believe Cameron will be moving into number 10 by the end of next week, he may have to get into bed with Clegg to oust Brown but it will be a marriage of convenience and Clegg will soon become an irrelevance.

  1. Clegg holds the 'balance of power', and it is the Lib-Dems once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get proportional representation passed thru legislature.

Also, I think, they will demand that Vince Cable be chancellor.

Both these demands are hugely unpalatable to the Conservatives, and even if Mr Cameron agrees, he'll have a hard sell convincing his party.

If they agree to the deal, then yes - a pact can be formed - but whoa there Nelly - PR does not suit the Tories (or Labour) as it will change the face of politics forever.

Let's see how this fascinating few days pans out. It's not a done deal yet.

It's really a case of who wants to get in more will yield more - to the Lib Dems.

Personally, I fear that Labour, desperate to cling on to power, would agree to almost everything the Lib-Dems want. So it's up to Cameron to head them off at the pass.
